Burnt by the Sun by Nikita Mikhalkov

Directed by Tom Mardikes, designed by Matt Mott.  Studio 116 (University of Missouri-Kansas City
Burnt by the Sun tells the story of the unwinding of a bourgeois family who have survived in seclusion into the Soviet Era.  The designer's quaint and quirky portrayal of their home provides stark contrast to the strictly ordered and violent world in which they live.
